Pastor Patrick Broz

 

Rev. Patrick Broz received his seminary education at the Methodist Theological School in Ohio.  Before serving in Lindsborg, Patrick served at Trinity United Methodist Church, in Salina.  Patrick has been the pastor in Lindsborg since July 2010.  Patrick grew up in Derby, one of thirteen children.  Before being called to the ministry, Patrick received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Wichita State University, where he studied US history and teaching.  He has had real-life experiences in the public and private sectors, ranging from hourly employee, working on commission, and also in management.  Patrick is married to Abby, who is also a United Methodist pastor (serving in Salina).  He has two children from his first marriage and two step-children with Abby.

Julie Truhlar - Administrative Assistant
Julie has always had a strong faith since a small child, having spent many of her formative years with her two elderly aunts whose love of Christ and people were examples for her own life.  Their belief in welcoming all strangers, as they may be angels, and that the Lord will provide, are mantras that still ring loudly in her soul today.   She has had many vocations: waitress, boat builder, food technologist, archivist, engineering, insurance agent, and office administrator.  She was born and raised a Kansan, but her heart has always belonged to the ocean, so in 1996 she moved to the Outer Banks of NC, where she was in part able to fulfill her dream of working with sea creatures by volunteering with Pea Island Refuge and NC Aquariums.  While living in NC and serving as the Youth Group Leader for Colington UMC,Julie completely committed her life to Christ, allowing Him to guide her steps (she believes this is different from simply serving and loving God and Christ).  In 2009 she felt the call to return home to be near her aging parents and assist with her son, Nathan who is schizophrenic.  Upon her return she asked God to guide her in finding employment where she could serve Him, and low and behold in the local paper was the ad for the Administrative Assistant for TUMC.  Here she is today!

Rae Sanders - Music Director

 

Rae was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She moved to Lindsborg to attend college. Rae’s musical mission is guided by her God given gifts and talents, and a strong love for people. Rae is currently a Junior Vocal Music Education, and Child psychology major at Bethany College. She is also a pianist and cantor at St. Bridget’s, in Lindsborg, Kansas. Rae loves teaching voice lessons to her students, and molding their sound. Rae is also very involved with the elderly, and works at Bethany Home. In her spare time she loves hanging out with her friends, going home to see her family, composing music, and hanging out with her kitty cat, Cecilia.
